About CAFM

The Certified Automotive Financial Manager ~ CAFM ~ is a highly engaging learning experience for dealership office managers, controllers, and CFO’s. The CAFM program is sponsored by the CPA Auto Dealer Services Association (CADCA) and provides a comprehensive training course for individuals wanting to be recognized as the best in their field. This course is beneficial for people new to dealership accounting and for people looking for a refresher course to gain additional training.

The CAFM certification course provides a student with online dealership accounting material plus a day and two-thirds live instructional training taught by automotive accounting specialists. Immediately following the live instructional training is an optional multiple choice examination for those desiring certification.

This optional exam will contain material from both the online material and the live instructional material. You do not have to be a CPA to achieve CAFM certification.


Benefits of CAFM Certification

Car dealers expect more and more from their accounting managers. Accounting managers are expected to have the knowledge and tools to perform effective controls for each department in a dealership. CAFM certification:

Who is Eligible for CAFM Certification Training?

This program is open to anyone looking to improve their skills and understand the “big picture” in a dealership accounting office. The program has no prerequisites and the exam is optional.
